I may need to stay in Korea for more than 6 months — will there be a problem re-entering the U.S.?

You should file for a re-entry permit while in the U.S., and if you stay abroad more than 6 months, you may be subject to additional screening when going through U.S. entry processing at the airport. We recommend preparing documentation showing your address and other ties to the U.S. before you leave.
