After filing for a marriage-based green card, does my EAD’s expiration require a new extension filing?

I filed for a marriage-based green card in April and am currently waiting, having only received the receipt.

I’d like to ask about something… My EAD expires on July 14th this year, and according to what USCIS sent me, since I filed for a change of status, I’m classified under C9. Looking it up online, C9 apparently comes with a 180-Day Automatic Extension — I’m not sure if this automatically extends my EAD, or if I need to file a separate extension request myself. Thank you.
