Yes, an individual (not just a company) can serve as a sponsor for an employment-based green card. With an individual sponsor, it can be harder to put together convincing documentation explaining why an employee is needed and what the sponsor’s circumstances are. In short, though, an individual can serve as a sponsor for employment-based immigration, and we have handled such cases at our office as well.
