Can financial sponsorship still pass if the citizen I’m marrying has no job?
I married a U.S. citizen and am applying for a marriage-based green card. However, there’s a financial sponsorship issue — my citizen spouse doesn’t have a job and earns money purely through investments. Even without a job, their income is relatively high — I’d like to know if financial sponsorship can still pass in this situation.
As long as the citizen’s tax returns show sufficient income, financial sponsorship (I-864) will not be a problem, even without a job.
