Can I change from another status to a visitor (B1/B2) status?
My J-1 visa has ended, and I’d like to stay a bit longer to travel. I’d like to know if I can change from J status to B1/B2 for travel purposes.

If you’re currently maintaining lawful status, you can apply for a change to visitor status. Also, when coming to the U.S. from Korea, if you’re issued a J-1 visa, there’s also an option to apply for a visitor visa at the same time so that you arrive holding both. Please keep this in mind.
