Can I obtain a green card by marrying a U.S. citizen after entering the U.S. unlawfully across the border 21 years ago?
I entered the U.S. unlawfully by crossing the border 21 years ago. I have no entry record.
Also, I married a U.S. citizen 8 years ago and am currently living with them. I’d appreciate knowing whether I’m eligible to apply for a green card.
There is a process and method available. If, through that process, a waiver of the re-entry bar is also approved, it becomes possible. In other words, yes, it’s possible.
