Can I pay USCIS fees with someone else’s personal check?
I’m planning to borrow money to pay USCIS fees, and the lender insists on writing me a check instead.
I’d like to know if it’s fine to pay USCIS fees with someone else’s check, including an attorney’s.
As long as the check doesn’t bounce, it will be accepted without issue. When sending someone else’s check, if you write the applicant’s A-number or green card number in the memo line, we think the USCIS employee processing payment won’t make a mistake.
