I’ve been maintaining E-2 status, and now that my child has become a U.S. citizen, we’ve started the sponsorship process. Renewing E-2 has become difficult, and financially it’s becoming hard to keep the business running. I’d like to know if falling out of status this way would cause a problem in obtaining a green card.
