I’m licensed as a physical therapist in Korea and am currently working in the U.S. I understand that, like nurses, physical therapists can apply for a green card through a similar process. I’d like to know more about the physical therapist eligibility requirements.

The Department of Labor (DOL) maintains a list of occupations that, by regulation, do not require an individual permanent labor certification procedure. This pre-approved list of occupations is called Schedule A, found at DOL regulations 20 CFR 656.10.
Based on an occupation being listed on Schedule A, an employer can file the immigrant visa petition (I-140) directly with USCIS, without going through the DOL labor certification process.
Licensed physical therapists are included on Schedule A.
Who qualifies:
A physical therapist who holds a 4-year bachelor’s degree in physical therapy,
or a physical therapist who holds a state license,
or a physical therapist who has received a letter from the licensing authority of the state where they intend to work confirming they are eligible to take that state’s physical therapy licensing exam.
