I’d like to know how long I need to work after receiving a green card through employment.

Once your immigrant visa is approved and your green card is obtained, you generally need to work at the sponsoring company for about 6 months to a year to avoid suspicion of immigration fraud.

However, there’s no hard-and-fast rule for exactly how long you must work there.

Under immigration law, if an employee leaves the job within 2 years, the burden falls on the employee to prove that the original job was accepted in good faith and not merely as a means to obtain the green card. However, once 2 years have passed, that burden of proof shifts to USCIS instead. Please keep this in mind for reference.
