After marriage, if my J-1 visa expires during the green card process, I’d like to know if I can continue engaging in economic activity in the U.S. while pending, before the combo card is issued.
My visa expires on July 24, 2023, and I’m planning to marry in November and file for my green card around December.
When filing for a green card, you also file for a work card (EAD card) at the same time, and once issued, you can work even while the green card application is pending.
