I’d like to know the difference between EB-1A and EB-1B.
Hello. I’m a student with a PhD in a STEM field, preparing for employment-based green card immigration.
I seem to qualify for EB-1, and while looking into it, I found EB-1 is further divided into A, B, and C — I’d like to know exactly how these are distinguished.
Under employment-based first preference, if you have extraordinary ability, you go under EB-1A; if you have outstanding research achievements, you go under EB-1B. If you’re a manager or executive of a multinational company, you can apply under EB-1C if you meet those requirements. Please keep this in mind.
