I’m a student enrolled at a university under AB540 status.
I received my I-20 through a language institute and am now enrolled at a regular university under AB540 status. When applying to a 4-year university, I applied under AB540 — I’d like to know if I can visit Korea after transferring, and whether I’d be able to obtain a visa.
If you return to Korea, you would first need to obtain a student visa through the U.S. consulate in order to re-enter, and realistically there’s little to no chance a consular officer would issue that visa.
