Is expedited processing available since it’s been a long wait since filing my EAD renewal?
Since filing my EAD renewal, nothing has progressed beyond the initial receipt, and I’m having difficulty. It’s been unavoidably arranged with the company that I’ll keep working until my current EAD expires, and then temporarily stop working until the new EAD is issued. However, I think there’s a limit to how long the company can wait, so I’d like to get the EAD issued as soon as possible.
So my question is whether you could check on the status of my EAD (expected issuance date), and whether you could help speed up the process.
Currently, I-765 takes about 6 months, so I think the EAD should come out within a month or two, and there’s no separate way to speed things up right now, since the review timeline falls within a reasonable period.
