Is it okay to visit Korea and come back after filing for a marriage-based green card?
Hello. I’m currently in the U.S. on student status, and I’m about to marry a U.S. citizen soon.
However, I need to file for my green card in advance and go visit Korea — would there be any problem with that?
After filing for your green card, please also obtain travel authorization before you go and come back. Since student status falls under the nonimmigrant visa category, we recommend obtaining travel authorization before leaving whenever possible.
