My green card card renewal is taking too long, and I can’t visit Korea
My green card card (10-year) expiration is approaching, so I filed for renewal. However, I have a planned visit to Korea, and since the new card hasn’t come yet, I feel uneasy about visiting Korea with an expired card. What should I do in this situation?
Search for a nearby USCIS office, call them, and visit in person to explain the situation, and they’ll stamp your passport with a green card stamp. With this in your passport, you can leave without any issue. If your visit to Korea will be an extended stay (over a year), you might also consider applying for a Reentry Permit.
