My OPT application was returned due to incomplete paperwork — how can this be fixed?
I filled out and sent my OPT application myself, but it was returned because part of the paperwork was missing.
I’d like to know if this counts as a denial, or whether I can simply reapply. I’ve heard that once you apply, reapplying is difficult, and I’m worried I might have missed my chance to work in the U.S. after finishing college.
If it was returned due to incomplete paperwork, it means the filing was never actually accepted in the first place. As a result, it’s not a denial, so you can reapply.
