My re-entry as a green card holder was denied due to an extended stay in Korea.
Hello. As a green card holder, I ended up staying in Korea for an extended period due to COVID and other factors.
I never separately applied for a Reentry Permit. When I later tried to enter the U.S. with my green card card, I was questioned at the entry inspection, even had my phone searched, and was ultimately denied entry. I’d like to know what options I have to re-enter or save my green card.
If re-entry continues to be denied, there is an option to apply for and enter with what’s called an SB-1 Returning Resident visa.
