My unskilled employment-based case interview outcome was finalized as AP and then moved to TP
I went through the employment-based unskilled-worker green card process from Korea, and my visa interview outcome at the embassy was finalized as AP (Administrative Processing) and then moved to TP.
I’ve heard that once it’s finalized as TP, the chance of denial is high, and I’m worried — I’d like to know if that’s really true, and how much hope I should hold onto while I wait.
I’d also like to know if there would be any problem starting a new employment-based case through a different employer while this TP status remains on record.
If your case has progressed from AP to TP, you should consider your chance of approval significantly reduced. That said, if there’s no disqualifying issue between you and the sponsor, approval is still possible — but with this record currently on file, a new employment-based filing through a new sponsor likely won’t be easy either.
