Question:

I am visiting Korea after applying for an OPT. I am not employed yet. In this case, may I return to the U.S and use MY OPT to get employed?

Answer:

You must get employed immediately after you are issued the OPT.

If you are not employed within 90 days of receiving your OPT, the corresponding OPT will expire.

Additionally,

if you return to Korea after your OPT is issued, you are equivalent to someone who is visa-less and must enter after getting another visa issued.
