Re-entry permit for someone who entered the U.S. on H-1B or L-1
I entered and have been living in the U.S. on an L-1 visa. I’m planning a trip to Korea and back, and I’m not sure whether I need to obtain a re-entry permit before leaving, or whether that would cost extra.
One thing to note: if you entered the U.S. on H-1B or L-1 status, you do not need an Advance Parole re-entry permit. If you still hold valid H-1B or L-1 status (in the case of a change of status rather than an actual visa at entry), you can obtain a new H-1B or L-1 visa through the embassy and re-enter that way.
