USCIS fees for a marriage-based green card case starting in 2020
We’re already married and living together, but due to being busy with various things, we haven’t yet filed for a marriage-based green card. I’d like to know how much the USCIS fee for a marriage-based case through a U.S. citizen spouse will increase starting next year, and when the change takes effect.
Starting in 2020, the USCIS fee for a marriage-based green card case is set to rise from $1,760 to $2,750 — an increase of nearly $1,000. However, the exact effective date for the fee increase hasn’t been finalized yet.
As of September 14, 2020, our attorney’s fee for a marriage-based green card case is $1,350, which includes translation, shipping, and notarization costs. For inquiries, call T. 718-514-2777.
