What happens to my U.S. citizenship if I reacquire Korean citizenship as dual nationality
Hello. I’m over 70 and planning to reapply for Korean citizenship to become a dual national.
I’d like to know if my U.S. citizenship remains intact if I reacquire Korean citizenship. Which passport should I use to visit Korea?
Restoring your Korean citizenship doesn’t affect your U.S. citizenship, which remains intact. When visiting Korea, carry both countries’ passports — use your Korean passport when entering Korea, and use your U.S. passport when leaving Korea to visit the U.S.
