Hello. I’d like to know when H-1B applications can begin, and if I’m selected in the lottery, will notification come right away?
Once selected, I’d like to know how many days I have to file the paperwork.
I’ll also be briefly visiting Korea — I’d like to know if I should wait until after I return to apply, or apply before leaving.

For the 2022–2023 fiscal year ‘specialty occupation work visa (H-1B),’ applications open April 1st, and online pre-registration must be completed by the 29th.
Those notified must submit Form I-129 within 90 days starting April 1st. I think it would be better to first file the paperwork once selected in the lottery, and then go visit Korea afterward.
