When filing a visa and a green card application together
I’d like to know what happens if a visa application and a green card application are filed together.
If the green card is approved, what happens to the visa?

A visa and a green card application can be filed together. However, once the green card is approved, the visa is automatically extinguished. If the green card is denied but the visa was approved, you can still attempt the green card process again later.
