I was selected in the H-1B lottery and am right before submitting the petition.
Before submitting the petition, given the timing, I’d like to know if there would be any problem leaving and re-entering the U.S. on my current OPT without having filed the H-1B petition yet.

As long as OPT is valid, there shouldn’t be any problem traveling. If you’re eligible for a STEM OPT extension, we’d recommend getting that extension done before you go as well.
