Whether I can visit Korea after applying for OPT
I understand that to apply for OPT, you need to have been enrolled full-time for at least 2 semesters. Due to COVID, I took online classes from Korea for the spring semesters two years ago and last year, and completed the fall semester and this spring semester in the U.S. I’d like to know if I can still apply for OPT along with graduating in August, without taking a summer term.
If OPT application is possible, I’d like to know if I can visit Korea after applying.
There’s no problem visiting Korea in the middle of OPT. Showing your OPT card typically lets you enter without issue. Just be sure to bring supporting documents showing you’re currently employed, to show if needed.
