Whether income from renting out a home on Airbnb could be counted as income and cause a problem for employment-based green card immigration
I’ve been renting out my home on Airbnb and making a living from that income. Since this income was generated without an EAD,
I’m worried it could be counted as income and cause a problem later when I go through employment-based green card immigration.
I’d like to know if having this kind of income would be counted as income and cause a problem for employment-based green card immigration.
Real estate rental income is generally considered Passive income (rather than income earned through labor), so it’s typically fine. However, please explain your business income structure in detail and ask a tax professional or accountant specifically whether this qualifies as Passive income.
