Whether re-entry to the U.S. is possible after my Reentry Permit has expired
I obtained a Reentry Permit and went to Korea, but due to COVID and various circumstances, I wasn’t able to enter the U.S. for over a year.
I’d like to know if I’d be allowed entry if I just show up without applying for an SB-1 visa. If denied, should I assume my green card has been revoked at the airport?
There are cases where CBP at the airport grants an SB-1 visa waiver and allows entry (as a green card holder). Bring supporting evidence and documentation explaining circumstances like COVID, and try entering. Bring as much documentation as possible showing you haven’t abandoned U.S. residency. Green cards aren’t revoked that easily, because CBP at the airport doesn’t have the authority to revoke a green card.
