Whether the green card process can continue if the employer withdraws sponsorship
I applied for a green card through unskilled employment-based immigration, I-140 was approved in February 2022, and I currently have both work authorization and travel authorization.
I-485 is in progress and 180 days have passed, and my current employer says they’re withdrawing sponsorship and filing withdrawal paperwork — I’d like to consult on whether I can change employers and continue, whether I-140 remains valid after the withdrawal is filed, and whether switching to a new employer in a related industry/occupation would cause any problem for the green card process.

Since I-140 has already been approved, you can change employers. Also, I-140 remains valid.
Even when changing to a new employer, there’s no issue for the green card process itself, but the outcome will depend on your individual immigration record and any past immigration-law violations.
