Hello. With immigration enforcement cracking down hard on undocumented people these days, I’ve heard I should always carry ID.
I’d like to know if it’s okay to just carry a driver’s license, or what kind of ID I should carry. For reference, I’m a green card holder.

For a green card holder, please carry both your green card card and your driver’s license. If your driver’s license is a Real ID, that alone already shows you’re lawfully present (a green card holder), so a driver’s license alone should probably suffice — but just in case, we recommend carrying both.
For those with immigration status through a visa or change of status, even if inconvenient, it’s good to carry both your driver’s license and documentation showing your immigration status. Given the risk of losing the documents, if you carry copies, it might be good to say the originals are at home.
