Citizenship application, criminal record, and domestic violence record
I have a criminal record from being arrested for domestic violence. Both sides retained attorneys, and after the case concluded, there was no punishment. To apply for citizenship, what documents do I need to attach regarding this case? For example: (Criminal record application. Case judgment.) Is any other document needed? If other documents are needed, please let me know what to attach.
You need to attach documentation of the criminal record, and it’s also important to confirm how the case was resolved.
Generally, you’ll need a criminal record document, and while the name varies slightly by state, you’ll likely need a Certificate of Disposition.
