Green card renewal concerns if I have to quit an unskilled EB-3 job due to health issues
I got my green card through EB-3 and have been working for 2 months. However, the working conditions are so tough that the other American workers who used to be there have all quit.
I’m now the only one working. My English isn’t great and the work is really hard — I’m barely holding on, and I don’t think I can make it 6 months.
In this situation, is there really no option other than continuing to work no matter how difficult it is?
If I get sick and can’t work, would that make green card renewal difficult?
If I submit a doctor’s note (issued by a Korean hospital) to the company because I got sick and couldn’t work, would that cause any problem for my green card renewal later?
Since you’ve already obtained your green card, you’re already a green card holder. At the very least, if you do quit, please make sure to keep solid documentation proving you quit due to illness, such as a doctor’s opinion letter.
