My DS-2019 shows no home-residency requirement, but my visa stamp in my passport says there is one.
My DS-2019 has the box checked showing no 2-year home-residency requirement, but my passport states that the requirement applies — I’m asking because of this discrepancy. Does this ever happen, where the two don’t match?
I’d like to know if this could be a mistake made by the embassy, and if so, what I should do about it.
Please check further with your workplace regarding the home-residency requirement. There does appear to be a discrepancy somewhere. Public universities are generally tuition-subsidized public institutions, so there may be a scholarship benefit or funding tied to being a public university.
