I changed my name through a divorce — do I need to get my green card card reissued?

You need to get your green card card reissued if any of the following apply:

    1) The green card card was lost, stolen, or completely damaged

    2) A name change or change in personal information (due to marriage, divorce, etc.)

    3) The green card card is severely damaged

    4) Personal information was incorrectly entered on the card due to a USCIS error

    5) You never received the green card card mailed by USCIS

    6) You’re replacing an old green card card with no expiration date with the current 10-year valid version

    7) You received your green card as an accompanying child of a parent before turning 14 (must file within 30 days of turning 14) — this also qualifies for reissuance.
