You need to renew your green card card when the current 10-year regular green card card’s validity period expires, and you can apply starting 6 months before the expiration date.
The required documents are USCIS Form I-90, a copy of your existing green card card, proof of green card status, and 2 photos.
The total application fee is $290, plus $80 for biometrics (fingerprinting), for a total of $370 — please prepare this amount by check.
