I was a conditional green card holder, and after domestic violence and living separately, I received a divorce judgment.
Hello. I married and moved to the U.S. from Korea, lived as a conditional green card holder, and then experienced domestic violence, so I obtained an Order of Protection and lived separately.
In the middle of this, I received a divorce judgment while living apart, even though I never signed anything. My conditional green card has also now expired.
I’d like to know if I’m at risk of removal proceedings, and whether there’s any way for me to still obtain a green card.
Regardless of what expiration date is printed on your conditional green card, even though it has expired, you should not be deported, and you can still obtain your green card.
