I’d like to apply for an H-1B work visa as a nurse from Korea.
I’m currently working as a nurse in Korea. I’d like to experience life in the U.S., but pursuing a green card seems like it will take longer due to the visa screen requirement.
So I’m considering an H-1B work visa instead — I’d like to know how to go about this. I’d also welcome any ideas for other visas that could work.
An acquaintance has offered to introduce me to a hospital, so a workplace is available once I get there — I’d like to find a way to get in as quickly as possible.
Most nursing positions don’t qualify for H-1B. If you’re looking for a short-term visa option, an H-3 trainee visa could allow short-term training at a U.S. hospital. The H-3 visa can be obtained without a CGFNS Visa Screen Certificate. I hope this is helpful.
