Is there a way for a physical therapist to avoid the visa screen requirement?
I’m having trouble passing the visa screen due to an English-language issue. My green card process seems to be stalling because of this — I’d like to know if there’s a way around the visa screen requirement.
Physical therapy, like nursing, falls under the ‘Schedule A’ category. And unlike nursing, physical therapy also qualifies for an H-1B work visa. It can be difficult to get your foreign degree and license recognized in the U.S.
If you earned your degree in Korea, you’d need to pass the English test required to pass the CGFNS visa screen. If, like you, meeting the required English test score is difficult, one idea is to instead pursue a green card through a different position, such as a kinesiologist. I hope this helps.
