I’d like to know if I can change to a student visa after entering the U.S. on ESTA.
I’ve heard that entering on ESTA requires returning to Korea after staying less than 90 days. I’d like to know if I can enter on ESTA and then change to a student visa once in the U.S.
ESTA is not a visa. So you must return to Korea after staying less than 90 days. ESTA cannot be changed to F-1 student status. If you’re considering a student visa, you need to obtain the student visa from the start and enter fresh with it.
