I’d like to know the process for receiving an immigrant visa in Korea after I-140 approval.
I’m waiting for my I-140 petition to be approved. I’d like to know how long it takes once approved.
I’d also like to know what process I go through to eventually receive my immigrant visa.
Once I-140 is approved, it typically takes 3 to 4 months. USCIS transfers the approved petition to the National Visa Center (NVC), and you wait for your priority date to become current, then receive Packet III from NVC, after which you file your immigrant visa application.
Once you submit the immigrant visa application this way, NVC schedules and notifies you of an interview date, and you go to the interview at the U.S. Embassy on that date.
