I’d like to sponsor employees — what are the requirements, and is there a limit on how many I can sponsor?
I’m the owner running a company franchise.
I’d like to sponsor three hardworking employees for employment-based green cards at the same time. Funding to run the business isn’t an issue. I’d like to know if there’s a limit on the maximum number of people I can sponsor for a green card at once. Also, will there be an interview? What are the chances of passing? The work at the franchise location isn’t highly skilled — it’s simple labor.
There’s no limit on the number of people a company can sponsor for employment-based green cards. As long as you have sufficient funds and the ability to pay the salary, you qualify as a sponsor. However, at the PERM stage, there needs to be sufficient reason and justification for hiring a foreign national. Since franchise employees often do work that’s largely unskilled, it may be easy to find nearby U.S. citizens/green card holders for these positions, which is something to be aware of.
