If I have a Reentry Permit, does that mean there’s no problem with my green card during an extended stay abroad?
I frequently travel back and forth between the U.S. and Korea. In fact, my job requires me to spend extended periods in Korea while holding a Reentry Permit. I’d like to know if simply having a Reentry Permit means there’s no issue maintaining my green card.
There’s always a possibility USCIS could conclude you didn’t maintain your green card if it appears you lack intent to enter or reside in the U.S. So when you do come to the U.S., please stay for at least 6 months out of the year.
