Hello. I’m currently finishing school in New York while going through a green card process from F-1 status and simultaneously changing status to O-1.
I’d like to know if my current green card process (the stage before I-485) remains intact even if my O-1 application is approved.

Even if the O-1 change of status is approved, your existing green card process remains intact. If it’s not approved, unlawful presence would be calculated starting from the expiration of your prior student status, so make sure you don’t exceed 6 months of unlawful presence.
