I’m going through unskilled-worker immigration as a caregiver — could a health issue hold me back?

Under U.S. immigration law, if someone is determined to pose a danger to U.S. society due to a mental or physical condition, obtaining an immigrant visa can be difficult. However, simply having high blood pressure or diabetes is unlikely to be seen as posing a danger to U.S. society, so it doesn’t appear this would cause a major problem for your unskilled-worker case.
