I’m out of status. Can I fly to another state within the U.S.? If I wanted to fly to Texas, for example, I’d like to know what I would need.
I’d like to know if there’s any risk in flying there and back, and what I might need to show when buying the ticket or going through security.
This can vary slightly by state, but at airports located near border regions, customs officials occasionally do random status checks based on prior intelligence, though this is rare. So besides a driver’s license, be sure to also carry your Korean passport. Even if it has expired, get it renewed and carry it with you.
