I’m working on OPT — can I re-enter without a valid visa if I travel abroad?

Even on OPT, if you travel abroad and return within your OPT period, you can generally re-enter without much issue in most cases.
If you’d feel more secure, carry supporting documents such as your employer’s letter, pay stubs, tax returns, and your OPT card when re-entering, and if your remaining OPT period is long, you might also consider applying for a travel permit (allow about 6 months for processing).
