Lost green card card and departure from the U.S. problem

I’m a U.S. green card holder currently living in Korea. It’s been almost 6 months since I left the U.S., and I’m planning to visit Saipan to apply for a Reentry Permit while there.

However, I’m scheduled to leave for Saipan in 3 days, and I just lost my green card a few days ago.

I read on the embassy website that if you lose your green card, you need to get a boarding foil, and one exception to needing that boarding foil is if you’re holding an already-expired 10-year green card card. In my case, I do still have my expired 10-year green card card.

1. Does this mean I really don’t need to separately prepare a boarding foil?

2. Should I get a notarized police report about losing my green card?

3. Are there any other documents I might need?

I’m reaching out urgently because I have so little information and I’m anxious.

I even called the embassy, but no one could help me (they said the department handling green cards was eliminated 2 years ago).

Any help at all would be appreciated.
