Question about citizenship eligibility requirements
I’ve heard that staying abroad for over a year resets continuous U.S. residency, meaning I’d have to wait over 4 years and 1 day again. I have immediate family members continuously residing in the U.S., and I’ve been filing taxes diligently — so would I have a high chance of obtaining citizenship once 4 years have passed since my entry date?
It looks like we need to calculate your total time spent in the U.S. Please calculate and let us know your total days in the U.S. versus days abroad over the past 5 years.
