Question about staying in Korea more than a year without a Reentry Permit due to COVID
I’m in Korea without having filed for a Reentry Permit. Given how serious COVID is in the U.S., I don’t plan to go back for a while.
I hadn’t planned to stay more than a year, but it now looks like I won’t be able to enter within a year either. I’d like to know if this will cause a problem for my green card, or how I can safely enter in this situation.
If you’ll be abroad, such as in Korea, for more than a year without a Reentry Permit, you can obtain an SB-1 returning-resident visa through the U.S. Embassy in Korea to enter.
